1986 compilation of innovative drummer Bill Bruford's collaborations.

Virtuoso assistance from Jeff Berlin (E. bass) and Alan Holdsworth (E. guitar)

Presented here in "HI FI" (FLAC) Bruford's discography is impressive. It

includes work with YES; KING CRIMSON; GENESIS; numerous like-minded musicians.

Bruford kept breaking new ground. His body of work is reminiscent of jazzmen who

were able to record with many different musicians, as seen fit by their musical

creativity - unemcumbered by stifling record contracts. Last I heard he's

"retired"....wishing to make room for young talent. Now that's a classy way to

say goodbye!

Retired? Hell no!. Get ur ass out there Bill! The world's not done with u yet.
why wav files and not flac files?
Shavedude: After researching, it seems to me that either WAV or FLAC (so-called LOSSLESS codecs) digitization will yield what is essentially a digital CLONE of digital audio source material.
My use of WAV is incidental...I figured "more data....better sound." MP3 only if there's no other choice.
Sorry about the confusing info. I'm using EAC (Exact Audio Copy) freeware to create .WAV audio files using the FLAC codec (Free Lossless Audio Codec)

This is really more acronyms than I need!

Consult the EAC FAQ for further clarification
Disregard my earlier comments. .they're INCORRECT! I'm using uncompressed .WAV files and the PCM S16LE codec. This is the best sound possible but no better than .FLAC which is more efficient. I can't blame seeders who "jump ship" because the uncompressed .WAV files are just too darn huge.
froogAL can you get ""The Spice of Life Too"", 1988 Kazumi Watanabe + Bruford + Berlin .. I'm searching all over the place for this CD and can't find it.. I was only able to find the first one (The spice of life).

Thanx for a great upload!

And BTW, for everyone else complaining about the WAV files...Its easy to convert WAV files into MP3, there are tons of free converters on da interwebs!
I've heard both "Kazumi's" on vinyl and IMO the first is quite a bit better, in fact I might have donated the 2nd one (strange for me..I generally KEEP IT ALL!). In either case I don't have CD's of either and although I love vinyl, vinyl "ripping" is usually not well received....Jeff Berlin is supremely talented, eh? I heard him once at NAMM...unbelievable
